HTC has certainly been on top of things recently, at least when it comes to OS updates. Not only did the company do its best to aggressively push out Android 4.3 to the HTC One in a timely manner, they have already brought Android 4.4 KitKat to unlocked and developer editions of the handset. Now it’s the One Mini’s turn to upgrade to Android 4.3, with Sense 5.5 included! Right now the update seems to be rolling out only to international users in Europe, though hopefully an upgrade isn’t too far off for those in other regions such as North America. What’s new here? Aside from Jelly Bean 4.3, Sense 5.5 brings a re-vamped BlinkFeed that can even be disabled. There’s also new gallery and video highlight features, and some multitasking UI improvements. Although firmware update 2.12.401.1 has yet to rollout to everyone, advanced users can manually get their hands on the update thanks to XDA Forum Member vrvr’s efforts, which include mirroring the OTA and even creating a system dump of the updated firmware. For more details on that, you’ll want to head on over to the XDA Developer’s forum. With the HTC One’s 4.3 update finished, and the HTC One Mini’s update just beginning, Verizon owners might be wondering when exactly they will finally get their delayed Android 4.3 update. The good news is that over the weekend HTC’s Executive Director of Product Management Mo Versi revealed that the Verizon update should be arriving sometime this week. No word just yet on whether the 4.3 update is based around Sense 5.0 or if it comes with the newer Sense 5.5.     Now all that’s left is for HTC to finish up rolling out Jelly Bean 4.3 so it can put its full attention into bringing KitKat to all its flagship devices. What do you think of HTC’s most recent efforts (starting with the HTC One’s debut) — are they slowly on the road to recovery or is it too little too late? Android Authority
